Even former President Jimmy Carter has a weblog.

Here's what's happened so far in our transition:

  • We signed the contract.
  • We received a Getting Started Manual.
  • Our Project Leader, Mary Medjo, had an initial conference call with the vendor's Project Leader yesterday.
  • We delivered our bibliographic, item and authority data to the vendor last night.

The vendor has a sample timeline that outlines 25 events to transitioning to their system. We've completed 4 steps so far. Only 21 to go!

  •

A popular use of weblogs is linking to websites of interest to a weblog's readers. For example, lots of library weblogs today will be linking to this article in the New York Times entitled, "When a Search Engine Isn't Enough, Call a Librarian." (You must be a registered member of the NYT website to view the article)
